Marketing Mentor

Is your Marketing getting you where you need to go?

Marketing is an important part of a business toolkit. But the reality is, many companies have to rely on junior members of their team to drive the marketing program, often without the guidance they need.

Posting on social media, running some Google ads, and writing a blog or two – those are just tactics. Above this, you need a strategy that drives your growth: Targeting the right prospects, in the right places, with the right message.

It’s too easy to get distracted by a new campaign or consumed by the details of an ad platform. You can lose sight of what you’re trying to achieve – finding more customers and growing revenue.

And if your Marketing is a team of one, the chances are they need help planning, prioritizing, and knowing where to spend their precious time and money.

They need a Marketing Mentor.

“Like many small businesses, our marketing is run by a department of one. Steve works with our talented marketing manager to take him (and us) to the next level. His broad experience provides unique insights to help you and your marketing reach their potential.”

How a Marketing Mentor can help you grow

A marketing mentor can fill that gap – providing tactical advice on marketing programs; coaching them through strategic frameworks; and working with the individual to help them grow their skillset, and their contribution to the business.

Your organization benefits immediately from the knowledge of a senior marketer with broad, real-life experience, and a network of marketing specialists; and over time, you benfit from the accelerated career growth of your marketer.

“When we added a young marketer to the team, I didn’t have the bandwidth to help her grow in the role. Steve provided structure to our program, and gave clear guidance to Alexis as she worked on the daily marketing tasks.”

– Rob Butkiewicz | Managing Director @ Add Your Mark

How does it work?

Steve spends an hour per week working directly with your in-house Marketer. Once he’s identified their goals and key projects, each call will cover three areas:
progressing those projects; supporting day-to-day activities; and coaching on
their marketing skills.

Steve will also be available to them for ad-hoc questions via email and will provide a monthly progress report directly to the leadership team. Additionally, your company will have access to a network of marketing specialists.

The Solent Solution: An experienced marketing executive, guiding your in-house team.

How do we get started?

We start with a discovery session at the management level, to understand the company’s goals, strategies and culture. Followed by a planning call with the Marketer and their direct supervisor to outline the process and to review specific goals of the program.

Then Steve will schedule weekly 1-on-1 calls, which will be structured to support the ongoing tactical issues, as well as keeping on track for longer-term projects. And he’ll provide coaching to develop their own marketing knowledge and skill set.

This investment in your marketing success is $995/month.

*We start with a 3-month commitment, followed by a rolling 30-day agreement.
